What do I need to sign up as an organization?
You will provide your organization name, type, website, address, contact name, work email, and a few details about your volunteer program. We use that information to review the account and help prevent fake or unsafe listings.
How do you verify organizations?
Organization applications are reviewed before full publishing access. We check the organization identity, contact information, website or public presence, and basic fit for community volunteer activity.
Can I manage my volunteers in the app?
Yes. You can create events, manage shifts, see signups, track check-ins, verify attendance, and view volunteer history connected to your organization's events.
Can I send messages to my volunteers in the app?
Yes. Organization admins can message volunteers about shift reminders, event updates, follow-ups, and thank-you notes from inside the app.
Do you share or sell my volunteer list to other organizations?
No. Your volunteer list is not sold or shared with other organizations. Volunteers can discover public opportunities across the platform, but your event roster and relationship data stay tied to your organization.
Can I upload my existing volunteer list?
Bulk volunteer import is planned for teams moving from spreadsheets or legacy systems. For now, organizations can invite volunteers to join and build their roster through events and invite links.
How do you verify attendance?
Attendance is verified through check-in records, organizer review, and shift status. Karma is awarded only after the organization confirms that a volunteer actually attended and according to Social Exchange platform rules.
How do you measure impact?
Impact is measured from verified activity: volunteer hours, attendance, Karma recognized, event participation, sponsorship funding, and event-specific outcomes. These metrics can support board updates, funder reports, and community storytelling.
Can one person be both a volunteer and an organization admin?
Yes. A person can volunteer personally while also managing an organization. Their volunteer profile and organization admin tools remain separate.
